There are several solutions today that can provide you with a vehicle to promote your web site, product, services or company. One solution is undoubtedly the use of a network with highly skilled independent bloggers (yourself), posting their honest opinions, about whatever it is you wish to promote.
Recently, I stumbled upon a new website that connects advertisers and bloggers. The site, called PayingPost, makes it possible for advertisers to pay to get reviewed by selected bloggers. I have to admit that the first time I heard about the idea to advertise on blogs, I did not like the idea at all. If you are like me, I enjoy reading blogs, but would not want to read overly positive reviews of different things in my favorite blogs, since the reviews are rarely nothing else but advertisements. I have always had a policy to keep advertisements balanced within the contents of my blog, and only review things that I have selected myself. When you read my blog, you should know that you read my honest opinion at all times, and not something that someone has paid me to write.
But the more I read about PPP's and the more reviews I read, the more I understand and like the concept. Normally, the reviews are always clearly marked as "sponsored by", so there are no misunderstandings. I know from the start that the post is sponsored, and so I can choose whether to read it or not. If it is related to my topic, I will most likely read it. The main advantage of this type of promotion is that it helps to create buzz, build traffic, get product feedback, gain links, syndicate content and much more, all this for a fraction of what it could cost on a good PPC program.
I have never considered before to join this type of program, but after all the positive feedback I have received, I have considered giving PayingPost a try just to see how it works. I have already registered as a member, and as you can see, I am already promoting it. I believe that at the end of the day, this will benefit both publishers and advertisers.
