Video Search Made Easy
There are really fascinating results that can be produced when you scour the Internet using a giant search engine like Google. You can find things that you would have not dreamed before, find directions to the nearest Chinese restaurant, or instantly learn how to calculate the monthly payments of a loan for your new Ashton martin DBS:) In addition, if you know how to use Google Search properly, you can be dazzled with what you can find.Searching for video is a whole different story. One of the hottest content on the Web right now is video search, and it ain't easy to find one that is good. Sure, you can go to Google’s popular YouTube site and look for clips stored there, but most likely you won’t find videos from other sites, especially copyrighted clips that YouTube doesn’t offer or has removed from its site.
This week, I tested several video-search engines, including VEOH and TRUVEO. Truveo is a site that scours through Web video from all different sources ranging from YouTube to broadcasting companies. Truveo, a subsidiary of AOL, is stepping out on its own again, powering video search for the likes of Microsoft, Brightcove and AOL itself. It is a site that is definitely worth looking at, especially now that video and images are important factors to increase rankings on Google. If you saw the latest video from Matt Cutts On Changes In Google, you will know what I mean. Try the Truveo video search engine, and let me know what you think.
