Graphics and image editors gives you the ability to create stunning effects and allows to enhance your digital images in several ways. Unfortunately, software's such as Photoshop can be rather expensive and in some cases, we do not even use all of it's functionality.
If all you wanted to do was to create something relatively simple and basic, it does not make sense to spend all that money. The list below includes some real powerful Graphics and Image editors, some of them close to being "clones" of Photoshop. Note that at the bottom of the list is an interesting software that is tailored specifically for children. Something worthwhile looking at with your kids, if you have them:)

No registration required and available in multi-language Web Based SUMO Paint Not every Web-based image editor can claim to be high-end, but SUMO can by carefully mimicking the look and feel of Photoshop, maybe a little too well. Try it before this free Flash app gets sued out of existence by Adobe. Web Based CinePaint A professional open-source raster graphics editor.
